Contact-Free Waste Collections in London
For customers who want to feel even safer before booking a collection, we have launch Contact-Free Waste Collections, providing we can access the waste, and it’s clear what materials are to be taken and what are to stay – there is entirely no need for you to be present giving you a total contact-free waste collection service.
You will be notified by phone and email when the team arrives on-site and also when the job has been completed (including before and after photos of where the waste was located). If any problems arise on site, the team will call you to talk them through.
Andrews Waste understands the trust you place in us to collect your waste safely and takes this responsibility incredibly seriously. Given the evolving COVID-19 circumstances, I wanted to update you with everything we’re doing, as this is undoubtedly a worrying time for many people.
We want to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues is always our top priority. Andrews Waste already has very high cleanliness standards when managing waste. In light of the current circumstances, we’re particularly following the advice from health authorities. We’ve implemented a number of extra precautions such as social distancing, face masks, increased hand washing and sanitisation before and after we undertake a service.

This service comes at no extra charge and is in response to some customers wanting to limit physical contact during the current COVID-19 outbreak. We’re pleased to be able to offer this across London.
By offering Contact-Free Waste Collections, we believe that we will give our customers peace of mind when booking with Andrews Waste, while also protecting our collection drivers.You can request a Contact-Free Waste Collection when calling 0800 779 7688 or via the website when booking your collection. Your driver will call you when they arrive to confirm before and after your collection takes place. Once the waste collection has been scheduled, and the agreed collection location is established, the driver will remove your waste from outside the property. To ensure the service is truly contact-free, all Contact-Free Waste Collections bookings must be pre-paid over the phone.

Public Health England recommends all waste that has been in contact with any self-isolated individual should be double-bagged and tied to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The waste should not be disposed of or put out for collection until it is known the potential patient does not have Covid-19.
The Public Health England advice reads: “Waste from possible cases and cleaning of areas where possible cases have been (including disposable cloths, tissues, and masks if worn) should be put in a plastic rubbish bag and tied when full.
“The plastic bag should then be placed in a second bin bag and tied.”
- double bag all waste that contains tissues, face cloths etc and store this securely in your refuse bin
- please do not leave this waste in communal areas until it has been stored for at least 72 hours
